Wattscribe ("Wattscribe," "we," "us") helps cycling coaches turn a spoken description of a workout into a structured session they can review, export, or send to an athlete. This policy explains what information we collect to make that work, how we use it, and the choices you have.
When you create a coach account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a salted hash — we never see or store your password itself). We also store a couple of account preferences, such as whether recordings are structured into a workout automatically or held for your review first.
If you add athletes to your roster, we store the name and email address you enter for each one, and — only if you link them — the numeric athlete id from their intervals.icu account. Athletes don't have their own Wattscribe login; this information is entered and managed by their coach.
When you record a workout description, the audio is sent directly to our transcription provider and is not stored by Wattscribe afterward. The resulting text transcript, and the structured workout produced from it (title, segments, targets), are saved to your account so you can review, edit, export, or send them later.
We store the workouts you create, which athletes (if any) they're assigned to, and a record of when a workout was exported or pushed to intervals.icu. If you connect an intervals.icu account, your API key is encrypted before it's stored, and used only to push workouts on your behalf.
Like most web services, our servers automatically log standard request information (such as IP address and timestamps) for security and troubleshooting purposes.
We do not use your recordings, transcripts, or athlete data to train our own models, and we do not sell personal information.
We rely on a small number of third parties to provide the service, each of which processes only what's needed for its part:
These providers are contractually restricted from using your data for anything other than providing their service to us.
Athlete email addresses are entered by you and never automatically retrieved from a connected intervals.icu account — intervals.icu treats athlete emails as private and doesn't expose them through its integration, even to a coach. If you ask us to remove an athlete, we delete the information you stored for them, and any workouts remain associated only with the coach account.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, contact us at the address below and we'll process the request within a reasonable time, except where we're required to retain certain records by law.
Passwords are hashed, not stored in plain text. Sensitive credentials, such as a connected intervals.icu API key, are encrypted at rest. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect your information.
Wattscribe is intended for use by coaches and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
You can review and update most of your account information directly in Wattscribe. To request a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion, email us at the address below and we'll respond as promptly as we can.
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, let you know directly.
